Variable speed pumps Configurator
Choose the right pump for your pool and save money!
Please, read before starting:
- The purpose of this configurator is to help you configure the right pump as well as the right speed per pump model for different operating modes. Based on this, you'll be able to compare the savings between a single-speed pump and a variable-speed pump. Rpm for the different operations are indicative.
- The water column for a single-speed pump is selected by default at 8 mcw.
- If the pool volume is too large, please contact your sales representative to help you configure the pool with 2 or more pumps.
- If more rpms are needed to operate a salt chlorinator or a heat pump, please adjust your pump speed accordingly.
- Backwash and skimming operations are not considered when calculating savings.
- This configurator also gives you the water savings possible when using a pump combined with a cartridge filter instead of a sand filter.
What criteria should I take into account when I choose a variable speed pump?
You should take several criteria into account when you choose a variable speed pump for your pool:
- Energy efficiency: variable speed pumps are renowned for having a higher energy efficieny than single-speed pumps. They use a permanent magnet motor. This reduces electricity consumption and optimises the pump's energy efficiency.
- Programming and adaptability: they offer advanced programming options and the pump speed can be regulated to suit your pool's specific needs. Its compatibility with other equipment in your pool setup must also be considered.
- Advanced functionalities: certain models offer advanced functionalities such as Wi-Fi connectivity, which allows the pump to be controlled remotely via a smartphone or tablet. Other functionalities include automatic programming, predefined modes of operation, and flow sensors for effective management of the filtration.
- Durability: since it is running at low speed and generates less heat, the motot lasts longer.
- Compatibility: make sure that the model you choose is compatible with the other equipment in your pool such as the filter, heating system or water treatment system. Good compatibility ensures harmonious and effective operation.
