Cleaners
How do I choose the most appropriate cleaner for my needs?
To choose the best model of cleaner, you should take into consideration the pool size, type (concrete, vinyl, fibreglass) and its surrounding environment (trees, sand, dust, etc.). The right option (electric, pressure or suction cleaners) can then be chosen according to these factors and your available budget.
Electric Cleaners
Electric pool cleaners operate independently thanks to a power source. They offer excellent coverage of the floor, walls and the waterline, and efficiently clean debris, algae and fine particles. They can also be programmed to perform specific cleaning cycles. Their initial cost is higher than for other types of cleaner and they require a source of electricity to operate. Regular cleaning is often required, in particular cleaning of the filter.

Suction Cleaners
Suction pool cleaners use the pool filtration pump to create suction. They move randomly around the pool basin. They are generally more affordable than other types of cleaner. They eliminate surface debris and fine particles, and are easy to maintain.
However, they do not clean the pool walls completely and the filtration pump must be running during the cleaning process. It is also sometimes necessary to manually clean the filters after use.
